Our Business and Supply Chain

Mayo Civil Engineering Limited operates within the construction and civil engineering sector in the United Kingdom. We recognise that this sector can present increased risks due to subcontracting and labour supply arrangements. We therefore take a risk-based approach to managing our supply chain.

Due Diligence and Controls

To minimise the risk of modern slavery, we:
• Work with reputable suppliers and subcontractors
• Expect suppliers to comply with employment and labour legislation
• Require confirmation that forced or trafficked labour is not used
• Monitor compliance where appropriate and take action where concerns arise

Training and Awareness

We provide awareness training to employees and site management, including toolbox talks, to help identify indicators of modern slavery and ensure concerns are reported appropriately.

Reporting Concerns

All employees, workers and business partners are encouraged to raise concerns about modern slavery or unethical practices. Reports will be treated seriously, investigated promptly and handled confidentially where possible. No one will suffer retaliation for raising concerns in good faith.

Review and Approval

This policy is reviewed annually and forms part of our commitment to ethical business practices and continuous improvement.
